Introduction

ComicWorld is a website that believes that artists should own their artwork.

This Terms of Service document has been created to formalise your rights as an artist.

Essentially, it's designed to make it so I cannot be a dick.

By posting content to this website, you agree to the following terms:

Content Ownership

You retain the copyright to all content that you upload to ComicWorld.

ComicWorld may only display the content, unless you give explicit written permission to do otherwise.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your content meets the Content Policy and follows the requirements stated in the Copyright Infringement section of this document.

If you choose to terminate your account, your artwork will be deleted from the website, and you revoke all permissions granted in the Use of Content section for future marketing materials, current materials do not need to be removed. (if you want this to happen anyway, please reach out to me, no promises though!)

The source code of the website itself, excluding any user-generated content uploaded to it, is licensed under the AGPL3, please see the section titled "ComicWorld is free software - AGPL3 notice" for more information about this.

Content Policy

Content submitted to ComicWorld must fill the following requirements:

• The content must not harass or demean any group or individual.
• The content you submit must be your own work, or a result of a collaboration between yourself and another artist, who gave you the rights to publish your work here.

It is the artist's responsibility to ensure that the content that they submit forfulls these requirements.

Use of Content

ComicWorld may use your artwork in marketing materials, subject to the following terms:

• The artwork must not be the primary aspect of the advertisement.
• The artwork is only shown as part of a screenshot of the website.
• The screenshot must not be cropped as such to make the artwork a major part of the advertisement
• The attribution for the image embedded in the website (username) is not tampered with or removed.

If you feel that these rights have been violated, you may reach out to me at contact@annoyingrains.xyz, so the issue can be resolved

Removal of Content

There are many reasons why content or accounts may need to be removed, terminated or suspended (locked) from ComicWorld.

ComicWorld may remove content, suspend (lock) or terminate accounts at any time, for any reason.

In the account that an account is suspended (locked), the user may reach out to me at contact@annoyingrains.xyz to resolve the situation, or terminate their account

In all other cases, artists may remove any content for any reason from this site by using either the site's built-in tools, or by contacting me directly at: contact@annoyingrains.xyz

Copyright Infringement

ComicWorld is not responsible for any copyright infringement that may occur on the website. If you believe that your artwork has been infringed upon, please contact me at contact@annoyingrains.xyz and provide me with the following information:

• The URL of the page where the infringing content is located
• Evidence that you are the copyright holder of the artwork

In the event that your artwork that has been published to ComicWorld has been used off-site without your consent, ComicWorld is not responsible, and we may or may not provide assistance in having the content removed.

In this case, please contact me at contact@annoyingrains.xyz, and provide the following information:

• The URL of the page on ComicWorld where the content is hosted
• The URL of the other website where the content is being used
• Evidence that you are the copyright holder of the artwork

Getting a copy of your personal information

If you would like a copy of all information that ComicWorld stores about you, please reach out to me at contact@annoyingrains.xyz and I can assist you in recieving a copy of all information stored about you, which is not a lot!

Changes to Terms of Service

ComicWorld may change the terms of service at any time.

The most current version of the terms of service will always be posted on the website.

However, if there are any material changes to the terms of service, we will notify you in advance by contacting you directly and by posting a notice on the website. You will have the opportunity to review the changes before they take effect. By continuing to use ComicWorld after the changes have taken effect, you agree to the new terms.

Governing Law

The laws of Australia will govern these terms of service and any dispute arising out of or relating to them.

Nothing in this agreement overrides your rights under Australian Consumer law.
